Why this study?

After all, do we really need another discipleship study? I am convinced that this is not just “another” discipleship study. I actually believe that this is the original discipleship study; the way to a godly life! God, in His Word, gave us the principles necessary for spiritual growth and a clear and orderly strategy of implementing those principles to live a godly life. Turn in your Bible to 2 Peter 1 and click play to learn why I believe that this discipleship strategy is God’s design for true spiritual growth.

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING

The Way to a Godly Life is being used in the Youth Detention Intervention Program (a ministry of the Mississippi Baptist Children’s Village) to provide discipleship to the youth detained in Mississippi’s juvenile detention centers. We are seeing our young people instructed and challenged to grow in their faith even while incarcerated. It is great to have an all inclusive weekly devotional style curriculum that helps the young people develop the spiritual disciplines that are necessary for them to mature in their faith and become fruitful members of their communities and churches upon their release. We are currently training our volunteers with this curriculum so that they are equipped to better disciple the residents in these facilities. We are currently using this tool in 5 of our facilities and hope to expand to all 20 across the state of MS.

My name is Kevin Ivy.

I have been married to Mandy since 1999. We have 6 children and have served in pastoral ministry and missions for more than two decades. Making disciples has always been a passion of mine, and this study is the culmination of 12 years of meditating on 2 Peter 1! I believe it, along with the other resources found on this site, will be a life-changing blessing to you.
